66 souls rescued at the Nepal border
66 people, including 24 children, were rescued over the course of June and July in Nepal.
One of the women rescued had her 4-year-old daughter with her, who could have suffered the same fate as her mother. Two brothers, just 9 and 14 years old, were also rescued from a man claiming to be their uncle. Most of those rescued had been forced to sell their bodies just to survive. Others were rescued from sex crimes or being sexually exploited by a human trafficker for money. The youngest was only 9 years old, and three of the survivors were boys. All of the survivors have been enrolled in our Community Care Program, where they’ll learn to maneuver through the trauma they endured and be equipped to live free.
