30 rescued in Nepal
26 women and girls rescued at the border and four Nepali girls rescued in a labor trafficking raid.
One of the girls rescued at the border, age 18, was being trafficked by a ring of three people. All three have been arrested.
Two girls, both age 15, were being lured out of the country by a 41-year-old man promising high-paying jobs. He arranged their transportation and met them at the bus station. Our agents intercepted them at the border during a routine bus inspection and rescued the two young friends. Both were reunited with their families, who bravely pressed charges against the man caught trafficking the girls.

Most of those rescued had been forced to sell their bodies just to survive. Others were rescued from sex crimes or being sexually exploited by a human trafficker for money. The youngest was only 9 years old, and three of the survivors were boys. All of the survivors have been enrolled in our Community Care Program, where they’ll learn to maneuver through the trauma they endured and be equipped to live free.
