In one of our locations, lockdown conditions have left impoverished communities without employment, income, and subsequently food to feed their families. Our teams have been working hard to assemble and distribute food packs to those in need. These deliveries have brought crucial aid to desperate families and developed our relationships with key communities that will open doors for rescue opportunities in the future.

Each food delivery has focused on a specific group of people. We’ve made drops to the most vulnerable neighborhoods, the elderly, as well as single mothers. Recently we were able to make deliveries for a very special target group: girls we had rescued who had gone through our residential care program since 2018!

The deliveries took about three days as our team traveled to multiple locations to make contact with each girl. We were able to meet and talk with all of the girls and their families. The girls were happy and thankful that we remembered them. The food packs were critical as their areas are under continued financial stress from lockdown. None of the children have returned to a life of exploitation! Some are employed, some are making an income by tailoring with machines we provided them, some are married and settled in well, others are not traditionally employed but are helping their families with daily tasks.
