Child Rescue is committed to maintaining the highest level of financial integrity and transparency with the resources it has been entrusted.
As of April 2018, of every dollar you donate, 75 cents is sent overseas to impact our work on the ground and change lives for the better, while 25 cents is kept in New Zealand to enable our small staff to continue speaking up on behalf of the children we serve and increasing Child Rescue’s presence here.
Please note the Annual Reports will refer to ‘Destiny Rescue’ – Child Rescue’s name in New Zealand until August 2017.
In order to maintain trust and transparency with our financial dealings, Child Rescue’s most recent Annual Financial Report has been made available below.
Child Rescue operates out of two registered charities: Child Rescue Charitable Trust (CRCT) and Child Rescue Charitable Aid Trust (CRCAT). CRCT receives donations and income, and applies 25% to fundraising efforts in New Zealand, and sends 75% to CRCAT to distribute overseas. CRCAT (CC50751) is on IRD’s Schedule 32 list, which enables CRCAT to send donations overseas and offer donation receipts.
We are grateful for your generosity and promise to use your donation in the most effective way possible. All donations designated for specific funds will be applied to those projects and to administering the gifts. Gifts that cannot be used for a particular project, due to over or under-funding, will be directed to Child Rescue’s most urgent needs. Contributions are solicited with the understanding that Child Rescue has control over the use of all donated funds.
