Rape, Murder of 13yo Girl Devastates Rescue Team

The young girl was known to Destiny Rescue agents who had previously targeted the bar and rescued other children from it.
“Our lead rescue agent had talked to this girl recently, but unfortunately he hadn’t the opportunity to present her an offer of freedom,” says Destiny Rescue Founder and International President Tony Kirwan. “Our agents are devastated, but I know they did all they could to rescue this girl, and others in the bar, without blowing their cover.
“From what our team has gathered, this girl had been kicked out of home by her family and had been taken in by a pimp at this bar. It just went from bad to worse for this poor girl.”
In the early hours of March 9, a police officer found the young girl’s body battered and bruised in a room behind a bar that is known for sexually exploiting children. He sent an image of her broken body to Destiny Rescue staff.
“This vile act by these four men is absolutely reprehensible,” Mr Kirwan says. “It breaks my heart to think what her last moments were like; the fear, the pain, the trauma – it’s just disgusting that men could do something like this.
Destiny Rescue has been operating in this particular Project Nation for some time and has had great success in rescuing children there to date.
Mr Kirwan says real life and death stories like this one should highlight the harsh reality so many children face.
“If any one of us saw a child being abused in front of us, we would do everything we could to stop it, but it’s a sobering thought when we realise that the child shouldn’t have to be abused in front of us before we do something. It is a gross understatement to say what happened to this precious child is a tragedy but I believe it would be even more tragic if this doesn’t motivate people to do something to rescue the next child from being exploited.
The officer who informed Destiny Rescue had worked with its agents in the past to close down another bar known for sexually exploiting children. In that case a young girl was found to be kept under lock and key, forced to service clients day after day. She is now in Destiny Rescue’s care.
Police suspect four local men gang raped and murdered the 13-year-old girl. Two of them are in custody, the other two are at large. Police have told Destiny Rescue the men will likely spend the rest of their lives in prison.
“This news devastated our team in this Project Nation. Our Country Manager there says a lot of tears were shed but this incident has further fueled their passion to never give up on freeing these precious young children.”
