Let’s Celebrate! 2017 Year in Review

We’re always looking forward to what can be achieved next: the next child we can rescue, the next girl we can enrol in school, the next sex trafficking survivor we can help achieve their dreams, but it’s important every now and then to pause and reflect on how far we’ve come and what’s been accomplished.
The 2017 Year in Review is an opportunity to do just that.
Child Rescue is still in its early days in New Zealand, having launched here in 2014, but what’s been accomplished over these years is extraordinary. We’ve educated thousands of Kiwis about the issues of child sex trafficking, conducted hundreds of presentations and fundraisers, inspired dozens of people to either volunteer abroad or visit on a Team Trip, and raised hundreds of thousands of dollars to advance the mission of Child Rescue (Destiny Rescue International) around the world.
It’s been our pleasure at Child Rescue to travel the country to share about our mission and what can be done to help rescue children from the sex trade and restore them into bright new futures. In 2017 we reached more people than ever and conducted presentations in parts of the country previously untouched by our organisation.
We’re so thankful for all our donors who gave sacrificially, for our advocates and volunteers who organised fundraisers and represented our children admirably, and for all who stood with us and prayed for us as we seek to make a real difference in the world today.
Worthy of particular mention is the wonderful news that we raised $100,000 more than our previous financial year, falling just shy of $400,000 in total donations – a huge increase!
We’re excited about what’s to come in the years ahead as we seek to reach more Kiwis with the mission to end child sex trafficking, and do all that we can rescue children around the world and bring much glory to their true Saviour Jesus Christ.
Grace and peace.
