Destiny Rescue’s staff members and volunteers work hard to help girls heal and prepare for the future. But our support doesn’t stop there. See our reintegration programme at work in these two success stories, written by volunteers who worked with the girls.

Two sisters left Destiny Rescue’s care in December. They had been with one of our projects in Cambodia for about 14 months, receiving an education and learning hair and beauty skills. When they were ready to leave us, we helped them establish a hairdressing business in their home village. The girls are resourceful and committed, and their business has been very successful and profitable! They are now the main income earners for their family, and they are so proud of their business.
Our social worker took this picture of their salon on a recent check-in trip (a seven-hour bus ride away!). We will keep in contact with them for more than a year to make sure they continue to do well on their own.

Taeng spent six months taking classes in our Learning Centre in Northern Thailand. She enjoyed spending time at the rescue home, having good meals, playing sports and watching TV with the other girls. During her time with us, we saw an improvement in her attitude toward life and her work ethic.
When Taeng was ready to find a job, we took her around the city to apply at gas stations and restaurants. She received an offer from a restaurant on our first day out, but the next day she got a better offer from another restaurant.
Taeng accepted the offer, and now she works as a waitress in a big restaurant. She enjoys her job because she’s made many good friends there. We still keep in touch with Taeng. She loves when we stop by the restaurant to visit her!
THANK YOU for your interest in supporting Child Rescue financially. Together, we can help free children that have been bound, restore those that have been wounded and provide a safer world for them to grow up and live in.
